Mr Sanjeev Shivalkar represented the defendant at Plumstead Police Station following his arrest and detention at a bus stop near to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, whilst dressed in full army attire, the defendant having earlier produced a short barrelled imitation firearm to a healthcare professional, which, after the arrival of armed police, caused a ‘lockdown’ at the Hospital.  Following being charged with being in Possession of an Imitation Firearm in a public place, the defendant was subsequent produced in custody before the Bromley Magistrates’ Court. The defendant entered a guilty plea and following an adjournment for Pre Sentence Reports, the defendant was sentenced to an immediate term of 12 weeks imprisonment.
