Regina v S - Woolwich Crown Court

A triple shooting at the home of twin brothers. The case involved very complex issues on the law on identification because that two of the defendants were twins, as were two of the victims. The High Court, on an application by the defence, ruled out the identification evidence of one of the victims which put the entire case in doubt.  This ruling was appealed by the Prosecution to the Court of Appeal who in turn upheld the High Court Judge’s ruling. All defendants were the subject of formal, not guilty verdicts.
