Michael Symeou

Trainee Solicitor and IT Support

Michael joined Faradays as a Trainee Solicitor in March 2026, working within the criminal defence team assisting in the preparation and progression of cases in both the Magistrates' and Crown Courts. He works closely with solicitors and counsel supporting case strategy, drafting legal documents and liaising with clients to ensure matters progress efficiently. He also assists the team with IT matters.

Michael has experience assisting on a wide range of serious and complex matters, including cases involving violence, financial crime and modern slavery. He regularly drafts applications, client correspondence and representations, and has experience attending court and representing clients during police station interviews. He has a particular interest in cases involving white collar crime and firearms. 

He is recognised for his thorough preparations, strong attention to detail and clear client-focused approach, often working on time-sensitive matters supporting clients through complex and challenging proceedings.

Michael achieved three A* grades in his A-Levels, holds a First-Class degree in War Studies and History from King's College London and a Distinction in MA Law (SQE 1) from the University of Law. He achieved top quintile results in both FLK 1 and FLK 2 of SQE 1 and is currently preparing for the SQE 2 as he works towards qualifying as a Solicitor.

Alongside his legal studies, Michael learnt to speak Russian, is learning French and Mandarin Chinese, as well as the basics of the C++ computer programming language.
